PLANTING SEEDS

Filed under: Testimonies — Philip @ 10:29 am

Hi Pastor Greg,

Here’s the testimony of my car and job.In April last year my car blew a head gasket. I kept praying and asking God to keep my car running until the day I could replace it. So it ran until Feb 11th this year. So I had to walk to work. So I would take my mp3 player with all my worship music and started walking. I was signing and smiling as I walked to work. Then in March one of the ladies from my Signing Class wanted me to go see Prophet Bob Griffin. I had never heard of him before, but she said that I needed to come. So I agreed. Since I didn’t have a car to get there, she said that she would come to pick me up. She lives on Northern and 57th Ave.

Well, on March 7th I planted my seeds for my car. First, I filled up Tonya’s car with gas, which was to her surprise, so she got blessed too! Then I planted my seed with the Prophet. Planted seeds on March 8th and March 9th too. On Sunday morning March 9th, I decided to walk to Church. I put on the worship music and signed all the way to Church. On Monday March 10th, I received a call from an old neighbor and I use to work for him as a dispatcher for his courier company back in 2003. He told me that he was thinking about me and that he is trying to get a new route started up and wanted me to come to work for him. I told him that I would think about it. I didn’t want to drive for a living again. I had enough of that. On March 16th he called me and asked if I had put my 2 weeks notice in. I told him “No, not yet.” He said “You better hurry and get that notice in, I’ve got a route for you. You’re going to Yuma.” I told him, “Bill, I don’t have a car.” He said “Oh, don’t worry about that, I’ve got a car for you to drive. It’s a 2007 Dodge Caliber. I’ll even pay for the gas. You don’t even have to worry about payments or insurance. I’ll take care of that too.” So I put my notice in that day. I even get paid almost double what I was making at my other job. The Lord is so awesome. He blessed me with a job that pays almost double what I was making, plus gives me a car to drive that I don’t have to make payments on, or pay insurance, or repairs, and I don’t even have to pay for the gas. That’s Extremely Blessed because of the gas prices right now. Plus, I get to spend 7 hrs with Him on my route to Yuma and back! I love it!Thank you Lord for Your Goodness, Kindness, Mercy,

Grace and Blessings and More!

A RE-EXPERIENCE!

Filed under: Testimonies — Philip @ 10:27 am

Good morning Pastor Greg,

I wanted to share with you what God has been doing in my life as you and many others have been praying for me.  I am one to have quiet time, spend time with the Lord on a regular basis but God has been calling me to my 1st love & into a deeper love relationship with Him. I know that we are all looking for the outward manifestation of my foot to be healed but God is doing an amazing work on the inside which others do not see. Don’t get me wrong, I KNOW God’s plan to heal my foot…I trust Him in that area. He is working on the inside to increase my trust, and although my foot is inconvenient at times I really have not had one moment of sadness, anger or frustration about it…I have been in a peace that passes understanding and thoroughly enjoying the time with God and what He is doing in me. I am not suggesting that we should not be praying and seeking God for healing (God forbid!) I just wanted you to know the miraculous that is taking place on the inside because the outward is what many people are expecting…and rightfully so, I expect it as well in God’s perfect time!!

Last week when I was at the altar God took me back to the moment that I was saved…I was radically saved in the Jesus movement of the 1970’s, in fact the service looked much like the services we are experiencing presently. I cannot even begin to explain what happened in my heart but to say that it felt like an explosion on the inside. All that I wanted to do was to read my bible, spend time with the Lord, spend time with other believers, and serve Him the rest of my life.  There was a small group of teens who were saved at the same time as me in a revival that came through our small town. We banded together as best we could to begin growing in the Lord. We began a bible study in our school meeting every morning to pray and read the word together. We met every night that we could to do more of the same. I experienced a deep love for my savior that went beyond anything I could even begin to imagine…The main line churches and most of the authority figures in my life (and that of my friends) began to come against the movement. They worked hard to disband us, and told us over and over that this was not real and moreover, that it was a move of the devil. They spoke against us in the churches and throughout our small town. Without discipleship and with the opposition we had we all began to question and feel lost and eventually most of us turned away from that first love. I do not hold any animosity toward the people who were involved…they didn’t know…but this is where I began to make really poor choices, to walk in doubt and unbelief. I didn’t turn away from God but I accepted a “religious God”. Inside I began searching for something that would fill me again and tried in many different ways to recreate what I once felt but had been convinced it wasn’t real. I made really poor choices that only brought more pain and heartache. The story goes on but for the sake of your time…fast forward to last week…God brought me back to the moment of my first love, of that passionate love that He has always had for me! He has been speaking these words to me “this is the real thing” since this move broke out at Skyway. I really did not fully grasp what He was beginning to do in me through those words but they kept coming back to me again and again. Pastor Greg, there are not even words to explain what He is doing and revealing inside of me currently…my foot is such a “side-note” in my life… if God needs me to “be quiet” right now while He completes an inner work then I rest in Him and His timing…I am having a real encounter with the real Jesus!!! How gracious He is too me that He is not just teaching me the truth but He is taking me back to my first love with Him, He is allowing me to re-experience what was then and He has told me that He is restoring all that was stolen from me so many years ago! What an awesome God we serve who is not limited by time or past circumstances!

I want to say thank you deeply to you. You now stand as the authority in my life that is embracing the “real thing” and encouraging all of us to embrace it as well!

In Him

BEING LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHILE MINISTERING IN PRISON

Filed under: Testimonies — Philip @ 10:25 am

Hello
Pastor Greg and Skyway Church,

I would like to share a testimony that happened with the Holy Spirit and me this past Memorial Day, Monday May 26,2008.

I feel as though the Holy Spirit within me received the healing power and presence of God that Pastor Greg has been filled with especially on the Sunday service on the 25th. It happened in such a way that when I was scheduled to go and minister at the Women’s Federal Prison north on I-17 (I feel very honored to serve there).

After giving my message on “Forever and Ever, Forever is Forever”;  I was closing in prayer as I was praying that we would all receive the message and go out and share with everyone on the campus, and with all of our families; that God would speak to our hearts telling us of His assurance that He is with us Forever. It was then in the middle of my prayer I felt the Holy Spirit within me say ,”Pray for healing”, I paused slightly and began to pray that if anyone had any pains or ailments at this time that He would heal them in a peaceful yet mighty way. To give them restful comfort, to relax, be healed, and be restored. I continued to pray and when we were dismissing the inmates one of the ladies came up to me and said, ”Thank you soooo much for praying for my pain”; as she said this she showed me her leg that was wrapped in tape. She went on to tell me that she had injured it and that she had been in excruciating pain for a while. She had already prayed on it earlier that day but when she came forth to me she was so enthusiastic with that evening healing prayer she got confirmation along with mobility and flexibility while jumping and filled with joy. I was extremely excited for her and told her of how I hadn’t normally prayed out of the blue like that for healing unless I knew what to pray on. But that the Holy Spirit led me to pray over this. I just told her WOW!! Also that yes, yes, yes He (God) is the ultimate surgeon and that we give him all the praise. I thank  Pastor Greg for allowing the Holy Spirit to move so mightily within him in order to minister to ours.
Pastor Greg is great and has a very special and unique gift, and loves people. Thank you again. My name is Dawn and my husband and our 4 boys became members of Skyway last fall. We truly enjoy coming to Skyway and can’t wait to see how God continues to mold the people of Skyway to bring His presence outside the building walls. It’s forever exciting to see how awesome He is. Amen

HEALING FROM CHRONIC ARTHRITIS

Filed under: Testimonies — Philip @ 10:16 am

Good morning,

Getting to know God thru You and Skyway Church has been the most amazing experience I have ever had.  I was raised in the Lutheran
Church so my walk with God has been very different since coming to Skyway over six years ago.  I have learned so much and want to learn so much more. I really believe what you have been saying about the move of God that we are in now and we really need to be ready and I know I am not, but I am closer because of Skyway. There just does not seem to be enough time on Sunday morning to worship, see God move, and learn what you have prepared for us to hear. I watch the Holy Spirit move and I am in awe but at the same time I am hungry for the message you have prepared for us to hear.

I have had chronic joint pain because of arthritis for many years. I believe God gives people an ability to deal with daily pain so that it does not control your life but some days are tougher than others.  About a year ago I developed severe pain in my hip and it really limited my ability to do a lot of things. Sometimes I would wake after praying the night before asking God to take the pain away and he would for awhile but it always came back in a day or so. On Friday, God took the pain away again and I have been waiting for it to come back but it has not. Praise God! On Sunday I was able to stand during the whole worship. I have not been able to do that for a very long time. I was able to kneel at the altar for the first time.

What a glorious day! I really believe the pain in my hip is gone and will not come back!

STOPPING DIET SODA STOPPED THE PAIN!

Pastor Greg:

Usually I don’t wish to bother you as you have so much to do now as a Pastor of such a large congregation, but I had to write to you about all of the people needing prayer for their bones at church today.  I was watching on the web cam due to having bone replacement surgery in my jaws a few days ago. I have osteoporosis and for years I too was hurting, something happened though, and Pastor Greg, you and God are the reason I am not hurting anymore. When you had the “Healthy Living” sermons this past fall Ron took the challenge.  He immediately started to quit eating much of what was called bad food, and I ended up weaning myself off of some of the foods because, “I wanted to encourage Ron”.  One of the things we quit having is diet soda, soon my bones weren’t hurting and I did not have to sleep with Ben Gay rubbed on my knees, I could even climb the stairs, Oh My!!  (I might add that my cholesterol went down while I was “encouraging” Ron too.)  I can say without a doubt that diet soda was the culprit for my bones hurting as I have had some since and sure enough, I was using the Ben Gay on my knees again. I wonder how many of the women that needed prayers for their knees drink diet sodas. I don’t want them to suffer from the bone loss and bone replacement surgeries that I have had.

Thank you again for your teachings as they have all been of great value to Ron and me.
